Migration Wizard needs better error logging and longer timeouts

Hi,
I'm still evaluating panelica.

In the migration report I miss informations why the migration failed.
All what I can see is that:

[17:26:54] [error] [database_import] Step Database Import failed: cancelled
[17:26:54] [warn] [database_import] Starting rollback...

But why and what is the exact reason?

Also is there a need for longer timeouts. A database with several GB of size needs more time for import. So 30 minutes timeout can maybe to short.

Regards
Chris

Hi Chris,

Thank you for evaluating Panelica so thoroughly and for taking the time to report this. Both points are fair: "cancelled" on its own does not tell you why the database import stopped, and a database of several GB can indeed need more time.

So that we can look into it together, could you please open a support ticket from your account on panelica.com (Support → Open Ticket)? A ticket is private, so you can safely share the full migration report there, along with the source panel, the approximate database size and when the migration ran. We will go through it with you, find the exact reason the import stopped, and take your feedback on error details and timeouts into account.

Thank you again for your patience and for helping us improve Panelica.

Best regards,
Panelica Team
