Solved Panel domain

Hi,

Good news - this is already supported. Panelica can be accessed by a hostname (for example https://server.yourdomain.com:8443) with a trusted SSL certificate, instead of the IP address. It simply needs to be configured on your side:

1) DNS: at your domain provider, create an A record pointing your chosen hostname (e.g. server.yourdomain.com) to this server IP address.

2) Panel hostname: make sure the panel hostname is set to that name. It is set during the initial setup, and you can confirm it.

3) Panel SSL certificate: in the panel, open the Security section and issue a Lets Encrypt certificate for the panel hostname. This gives you a trusted certificate for server.yourdomain.com, so there is no browser warning and no need to use the IP.

Once DNS has propagated and the certificate is issued, you can open https://server.yourdomain.com:8443 directly.

Note: for security the panel keeps its own port (8443 by default). If you prefer a different port you can change it under Security -> Change Panel Port. The hostname replaces the IP; the port stays part of the panel URL.

If you let us know the exact hostname you would like to use, we are happy to guide you through issuing the certificate.

Best regards,
Panelica Team
