Panel Settings — Configuring Your Panelica Installation
The Panel Settings page is the central configuration hub for your Panelica installation. From here you can manage security, performance, branding, updates, and more.
Accessing Panel Settings
From the sidebar, go to Tools → Panel Settings.
You will see a grid of setting categories, each represented by a card. Click any card to open its configuration page.

Accessing Panel Settings
From the sidebar, go to Tools → Panel Settings.
You will see a grid of setting categories, each represented by a card. Click any card to open its configuration page.
General
Basic server and panel configuration:
- Timezone — Set the server timezone by selecting country and city.
- Server Hostname — The fully qualified domain name of your server.
- Panel Port — The HTTPS port the panel runs on (default: 8443).
- Language — The default panel language (32 languages available).
Security
Authentication and access control:
- Password Change — Update the root panel password.
- Two-Factor Authentication — Enable or disable TOTP-based 2FA.
- IP Whitelist — Restrict panel access to specific IP addresses.
- Session Timeout — How long before inactive sessions expire.
- Password Policy — Minimum length, complexity requirements.
Branding
Customize the panel appearance for your brand:
- Logo — Upload a custom logo that appears in the sidebar and login page.
- Favicon — Upload a custom browser tab icon.
- Color Theme — Choose from 42 pre-built color presets (Panelica, Ubuntu, Dracula, Nord, Solarized, GitHub, and many more).
- Dark/Light Mode — Toggle between dark and light interface themes.
Backup
Backup system configuration:
- Retention Period — How many days to keep backups.
- Encryption — Toggle backup encryption.
- Rate Limiting — Maximum backup and restore operations per hour.
Resource Isolation
Configure the server's isolation features:
- Cgroups — Enable or disable CPU, memory, and I/O limits per user.
- PID Limits — Maximum number of processes per user.
- Disk I/O Throttling — Control disk read/write speed per account.
System Updates
Manage how your panel stays up to date:
- Auto-Update — Enable or disable automatic updates.
- Update Frequency — How often the panel checks for updates.
- Manual Update — Trigger an update check manually.
- Version History — View previously installed versions.
Other Settings
- IP Addresses — Manage server IP addresses and NAT configuration.
- Notifications — Configure email alerts for errors, warnings, and system events.
- Monitoring — Set metrics collection interval and alert thresholds.
- Rate Limiting — Configure API and login rate limits.
- Languages — Manage translations and active languages.
- Server Info — View hardware specifications, OS version, service versions, and system health.
- License — View license status, plan details, and enabled features.
- Admin Notes — Internal notes for server administrators, with status tracking (open, in progress, testing, fixed, closed).
