Panelica includes built-in server migration tools to transfer your websites, databases, email accounts, and configurations from other hosting panels or servers.
Panelica's migration system follows an 11-step pipeline:
- Connect — SSH connection to the source server
- Detect — Automatically identifies the source panel type
- Discover — Scans all sites, databases, and email accounts
- Select — Choose which sites to migrate
- Create Users — Sets up system accounts on the target
- Create Domains — Configures web server and DNS
- Transfer Files — Syncs website files with progress tracking
- Import Databases — Transfers MySQL databases with user credentials
- Import Email — Migrates mailboxes and configurations
- SSL Setup — Issues new certificates or transfers existing ones
- Verify — Health check with automatic rollback on failure
All progress is tracked in real-time with live logging.
Panelica-to-Panelica (Full Support)
The most comprehensive migration path. Uses Panelica's External API for secure, automated transfer. MySQL credentials are preserved — your applications continue working without any configuration changes. See the detailed Panelica migration guide.
cPanel / WHM (Basic Support)
- Website files via rsync
- MySQL databases with user/grant preservation
- Email account migration
- DNS record transfer
- Some cPanel-specific configurations may require manual adjustment
Plesk (Basic Support)
- Website files and database transfer
- Email migration
- DNS configuration
- Plesk extensions and custom configurations may need manual setup
Other Panels
Panelica can migrate from CyberPanel, HestiaCP, DirectAdmin, and raw servers:
- CyberPanel — OpenLiteSpeed sites, MySQL, email
- HestiaCP — Nginx/Apache sites, databases, mail
- DirectAdmin — User accounts, domains, databases
- Raw Server — Direct filesystem transfer for non-panel servers
- Ensure your target Panelica server has enough disk space
- Back up your source server before starting
- Lower DNS TTL values 24-48 hours before migration
- Test the migration with a single site first
